1. First step is to remove fat with spirit or vodka. To make the paint last longer, put on paint primer (choose a versatile one for working with old paint) and let it dry well. Drying time is usually indicated on the bottle.

2. Take terracotta acrylic paint and cover it with 2-3 coats. Let dry (drying time is indicated on the bottle or you can dry it with a blowdryer).

3 To get a better result take emerald, turquoise and dark-olive paints. Pour some salt and semolina on the palette and mix with every colour separately, then apply chaotically on different parts of the frame. Dry as was previously mentioned.

4. Apply acrylic paint of “first snowdrop” colour on the frame. Dry. Thin ash-grey paint with water and pour over, paying attention to all cavities. If there is too much water, dab with the tissue and let dry.

5. Now use sandpaper over the frame. Pay attention to the places with a lot of salt. If there are places you can’t reach with sandpaper, use modelling stick (not hard or you will erase the paint). Clean paint and dust remainders.

6. Remove fat one more time, put on finishing varnish and let dry. Here is the picture frame we dreamt of.

A little trick:  you can refresh all plastic furniture at home in such a way, just sand it with a sandpaper to get a better grip between paint and varnish materials and the surface.
